Where the Studebaker legacy began
Some AOAI members traveled the 10 miles northeast of
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to visit the stone monument
marking the site of the original Studebaker brothers’
blacksmith shop. The marker, above, along with
shrubbery, benches and picnic table, is sited on the exact
location of the original shop. The marker was erected
in July 1980 by members of the Keystone Region,
Studebaker Drivers Club.
The monument is a short distance northeast of the
intersection of Red Bridge Road on Studebaker Lane,
